The company has established a certified quality management system that complies with Icelandic and EU-legislation for food and medicine. The quality management system is under continuous review to improve quality and safety of product and service.
Certifications
LYSI holds the following quality certifications:
FSSC 22000
An internationally recognised food safety management standard based on ISO 22000 and recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
GMP
A standard for minimising risks in pharmaceutical production that must be complied with by medicinal manufacturers.
Halal
A guarantee that products meet the requirements of Islamic law and are therefore suitable for consumption by the Muslim population.
AOCS Approved Chemist
Laboratory proficiency programs administrated by the American Oil Chemists Society (AOCS).
